Arcade Amusement, a profile of a local arcade game supplier going through unprecedented tough times.

This is a news feature story about the fate of court sketch artists. It was my first foray into using Flash. Is it perfect? Nope. But I learned so much about multimedia storytelling (and won an award for it.) The biggest lesson: If Flash is an option for a multimedia project, it’s better for reporters to collaborate with programmers than it is for reporters to try and become a programmer. Oh, and SoundSlides rocks.
This site, a project for a Web journalism class at the University of South Florida St. Petersburg, was designed in Fireworks and created in Dreamweaver. Again, it was a learning process. It was also a whole lot of fun to be in charge of content for once.
